1. Pinch barb with flat sided pliers

2. Begin thread at midshank

1. Tie in orange small larva lace or v-rib and wrap back to the middle of the bend.

2. Wrap thread up to eye of hook and tie in 3 strands of krystal flash.

3. Wrap KF down to middle of bend.

4. Wrap thread back to eye of hook and finish with a whip finish.

1. Wrap 3 strands of KF in consequtive, touching turns to eye of hook.

2. Secure KF with thread.

1. Wrap lace up the shank in touching turns, either with flat side or round side up.

2. Tie off larva lace with thread.

1. Whip finish larva lace and coat two times with thin head cement

2. You're done, this can be a very effective pattern in the right water or conditions. I like to fish it in the faster water while I fish chenille SJWs in slower water. This particluar pattern was taught to me by Chris Jarvis. Instead of wrapping krystal flash between turns of larva lace like most patterns, Chris wraps the underbody with pearl KF and then wraps an overbody of orange larva lace. Also try tying this fly like my sparkle OJ pattern with clear larva lace and orange/pearl KF as an underbody. Let me know how they do.
