I think Fly Fishing is instinctive in me. I have always loved the gurgling sound of the
water, the savage take of a stream raised brown trout smashing a hopper, the
unpredictability and challenge of fly-fishing, and the fulfilling experience of catching a
fish on a fly I tied just the night before my trip. I have been fishing since I was 3 years old, but I began my
Professional Fly Fishing Career as a Commercial Fly Tier in 1999. Since then, I have
developed several patterns for the San Juan River, and have sold them to hundreds of
people around the country who have used them with much success on their home rivers. Every
year, I conduct Fly Fishing Seminars for local fly shops and fly fishing clubs throughout
the contry, teach fly casting, and participate in fly tying demonstrations. In 2003, one
of the patterns I invented was chosen by the Editors of "Fly Fisherman"
Magazine as one of the "Best New Flies of 2003." This catapulted my fly fishing
career and helped lead me further into the fly fishing community.

Now, I am a Professional Fly Fishing Guide with 5 years of experience guiding the Trophy
Waters of the San Juan River. I still enjoy doing Fly Fishing Seminars, teaching fly tying
